PatchPlus Consulting Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and Woman-Owned Small Business headquartered in Medford NJ. PatchPlus provides professional services to federal government and commercial clients and is committed to making a difference to our customers, industry partners, and the Warfighter. We are looking for a highly motivated Controller/Human Resources Administrator to lead a front office of four members providing administrative, accounting, finance, and human resources support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate traits that align with PatchPlus’ guiding principles – Purpose, Proficiency and Character. Character is the moral compass in each member that guides us to do the right things. This position requires a unique blend of controller, human resources, and administrator skills in a candidate. The Controller/Human Resources Administrator reports to the Chief Support Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

  • Controller responsibilities to include ownership of the financial reporting process, cash flow management, oversee internal controls, assist with budget/forecast preparation, oversee employees involved in the accounting process, prepare pricing proposals in accordance with government contracting principles, coordinate submission of incurred costs to DCAA, assist with invoice preparation, accounts receivable/accounts payable activities, oversee payroll, establish and implement financial policies, ensure reporting comply with generally accepted accounting principles, Cost Accounting Standards and DCAA Standards, serve as the corporate Treasurer and system administrator for payroll, accounting, human resource information systems
  •  Human resources responsibilities to include plan, direct, develop and coordinate company HR policies to ensure compliance with mandated federal and states laws, file compliance reports for Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action and Veterans regulation, administer the company’s 401(k) and ESOP retirement plans, and serve as the company Benefits Administrator
  • Administrator responsibilities to include maintain corporate business insurance policies, manage Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) bonds and renewals, prepare for audits and reporting, prepare and file annual federal and state regulatory compliance reports

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with Unanet Financials (GovCon ERP)
  • Experience with ADP payroll/HRIS system
  • Ten years or more of related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) general accounting principles
  • Familiarity with administration of Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and 401(k) Retirement Plan

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance or related field
  • Previous government contracting experience
  • Previous controller experience
